salmon (grade 4/5)

I got the feeling that the students weren't too excited 

about using salmon as their subject matter

but once they looked at the books and 

pictures they just got started

the class has an aquarium with alevin
(baby salmon hatched from the eggs, still attached 
to the egg yolk for nourishment)

and will release the fry when the time comes.

(these are alevins)

                                 these were all drawn free hand

they were were fearless with colour

and it paid off
