welcome!

Welcome to my little studio. I am excited to share what is going on in my art practice, one project or thought at a time. I paint to tell my story. It is a story of gratitude for the people in my life. For the creativity in all of us, manifested in so many ways. For the love, and for the beauty in the work of the first and greatest artist.

snow on the trees (1)

Snow is floating down in big fat flakes and collecting in the most beautiful places.

6B pencil on manila art paper.
The leaves on the poplar tree have been hanging there for over a year,
holding on by what looks like a thread.
I wonder, why doesn't that old tree just let them go.

I stole a few moments to open the paints
and see what the Phthalo Cerulean Blue (this is fun to say out loud)
looked like against the Titanium White.
