Yukon Artists at Work is an artist co-op
with a magnificent gallery in Whitehorse.
They have recently started up the Artist Relief Fund.
"Sun Spots", above, was my contribution to their first fundraiser,
called "Canvas Confidential". Artists painted little canvasses, in a different style than usual. People bought tickets for the event, and for the art without knowing who created the pieces. As the night went on, the names were revealed. The mystery of trying to match each work of art with its creator was mostly hopeless, and lots of fun. Seeing so many diverse pieces of art together, in styles out of the ordinary-this was inspiring.
